Frame samples – Home Trial
Buying prescription sports glasses is an important decision. You need clear, accurate vision – and frames that fit comfortably and securely.
If you’re unsure which styles suit you, our Try Before You Buy service makes it easy. Choose up to three frames and have them delivered to your home. You can try them on at your own pace, see what works best, and even get feedback from family or friends – no guesswork needed.
Most Optilabs frame samples are free; you only pay for postage. Some branded options, such as Ray-Ban, require a deposit, see below for details. All samples come with non-prescription lenses, so you can assess fit and comfort before placing your order.
Things to know:
- Samples are sent via second-class post—please allow time for delivery.
- We try our best to send your preferred colour, but this isn’t always guaranteed.
- If you need frames urgently, contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
- This service is available to UK customers purchasing sports glasses only.

Branded frame samples:
Due to previous non-returns, branded frames (including Ray-Ban) require a deposit. This is clearly shown when you select the frame and will be returned once the frames are received back in original, saleable condition.
