Our standard tinted lenses are for those want a high quality lens without all the bells & whistles. These lenses don’t offer any polarisation but they will increase contrast. Grey lenses are better for high levels of light whilst brown lenses offer the best vision over a wide range of lighting conditions. Brown lenses also improve depth perception. Yellow lenses are good for low light and overcast conditions.
Polarised lenses increase definition and contrast and remove horizontal glare – particularly important for activities involving water. Brown lenses are good for a wide range of lighting and enhance shades of green. Grey lenses are better for high levels of light. Yellow increases contrast and brightens vision in low light, whilst orange & vermillion are better for overcast days. Green lenses increase contrast whilst dimming bright light and brightening shadows.
Photochromic lenses have a variable tint and darken and lighten rapidly depending on light levels. In very low light photochromic lenses will go virtually clear meaning that they can still offer vital protection whilst maintaining good vision. Brown lenses are good for a wide range of lighting conditions and really enhance shades of green. Grey lenses are better for high levels of light. Green is a general purpose tint and is good at preserving colour balance.
Our polarised mirror finish lenses not only look good but offer superb contrast and definition, whilst removing virtually all horizontal glare – great for sports involving water or snow. All our mirror finish lenses use a grey polarised lens as their base. This offers contrast and definition whilst maintains true colour perception. Due to the mirror coating applied on top of the lens base, these lenses are darker than a standard grey polarised lenses – great for mid-high levels of light but not suitable for low levels of light.
